Sunderland thwart Fulham - SPORT24

Martin O'Neill (AFP) Sunderland - Sunderland inched nearer to Premier League survival while the Black Cats fought back from two goals right down to save a 2-2 pull against Fulham on Saturday. But Sunderland paid down the deficit before the split through Craig Gardner's fee and Stephane Sessegnon's 2nd half target saved a potentially useful point in the battle in order to avoid relegation. Sunderland desperately needed a win after getting just one point from their last four games, however they found themselves in deep trouble by the time 35 minutes had passed.
