What Happened to the Final Major Club Football Tournament That Miami Declared?

Last week, FOX Soccer and Relevent Ventures announced the start of the International Champions Cup, each summertime a brand new membership soccer match which is played at sites across the globe, with the finals to be played in Miami beginning this August. The clubs who've consented to participate thus far are Real Madrid, Juventus, Inter Milan and Manhunter Galaxy, with four different clubs set to be exposed in the next two weeks. But what happened to the last important club basketball tournament that was introduced in Miami? Less than twelve months before, town authorities in Miami announced the launch of the Miami Soccer Challenge, an annual club opposition offering some of the greatest clubs on earth that will perform at Miamias Marlins Park baseball stadium. Some of the membership crests which were proudly displayed since the backdrop for the Miami Soccer Challenge media meeting involved Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur, AS Roma and many more. Nevertheless, EPL Talk has learned that lots of the Premier League clubs had their crests prominently displayed, but had never given permission for Miami city officials to make use of their crest, nor had any arrangements with English clubs been signed. There were also rumors of the City of Miami receiving cease-and-desist letters from the English clubs since the staff crests were used without their permission, and their usage of the crests meant that the English clubs were promoting the match a again, without their permission. Pictures of the club crests are featured by the press conference backdrop, which may be considered on the Miami Marlins official website, as well as here. So far, theAMiami Soccer ChallengeAhas failed to appear even though the match have been suggested as starting in January, 2013. Marlins Park did host an amiable between Venezuela and Nigeria in November, 2012 in front of a crowd of 13,000, but so far no English teams have announced any suits to be played included in theAMiami Soccer ChallengeAfor the near future. I would include that the International Champions CupAhas no affiliation or connection withAMiami Soccer Challenge. Theyare two totally separate events run by separate agencies. TheAInternational Champions CupAis backed by Relevent Ventures, which is really a VC fund created by Miami Dolphins operator Steve Ross. The entireAInternational Champions CupAtournament is likely to be found on FOX Soccer (and presumably FOX Sports 1 beginning next year). President and publisher of EPL Talk, The Gaffer (aka Christopher Harris) is a journalist who has been presented in The Brand New York Times, The Guardian and some other magazines along with on NPR, BBC World, CBC, BBC Five Live, talkSPORT and beIN SPORT.
