Yvette Prieto and Michael Jordan Wedding: Guests, Images and Details

When you are arguably the greatest basketball player of all time, it's difficult to travel under the radar. Basketball star and present Charlotte Bobcats manager Jordan tied the knot with original partner Yvette Prieto on Saturday in Palm Beach, Fla., according to People.com's Jennifer Garcia. The event was held at the Bethesda-by-the-Sea Episcopal Church, and included around 500 visitors including several other former NBA stars (photo via NBA.SI.com ): There have been lots of friends and celebrities available (via ETonline.com) to guide Jordan and his lady this week-end. Significant participants included Jordan's former Chicago Bulls teammate Scottie Pippen, Jordan's mother, former New York Knicks superstar Patrick Ewing and well-known directorASpike Lee, amongst others (photo via NBA.SI.com ): Here is a look at some closer shots of Pippen and Ewing, who along side Jordan performed in some of the very remarkable playoff series during the 1990s, when Bulls-Knicks was arguably the very best rivalry in baseball (photos via HuffingtonPost.com ): Fourteen-time significant champion Padraig Harrington was also on hand this weekend (photograph via @KVJShow from TMZ ): In accordance with Michele Dargan of the Palm Beach Daily News, guests began coming to the church around 3 p.m. ET, an hour or so prior to the marriage ceremony started at approximately 4:15 p.m. ET. The ceremony within the church lasted about an hour as bells apparently rang out soon after 5 p.m. ET, based on Dargan. Shiny Sheet on Twitter placed a few photographs of men and women as they entered the church on Saturday: Here is a look at the bridesmaids on the way to the church: Not that you could see her in this photograph, but this flock of umbrellas is apparently covering the woman before she joined the church for Saturday's ceremony: A level bigger crowd of an estimated 2,000 people gathered at the Bear's Club, a course area in Jupiter, Fla., for the party under an enormous, state-of-the-art wedding tent (picture via LarryBrownSports.com ): The reception was held maybe not far from Jordan's 38,000-square-foot home. Based on Garcia, the 50-year-old Jordan met the 35-year-old Prieto at a Miami bar five years ago and proposed to her in late 2011. Given the Bobcats' challenges on the wood in recent times, it is safe to state that weekend's service and subsequent celebration was a welcomed diversion for Jordan going into still another tough offseason. For the time being, however, baseball could wait. All the best to Jordan and his new wife. Follow Bleacher Statement Highlighted Author Patrick Clarke on Twitter.
