UpdatedAApr 17, 2013 7:04 PM ET A reach from David Luiz set Chelsea on their solution to an emphatic 3-0 conquer Fulham at Craven Cottage. The deadlock was opened by the Brazilian with a 35-yard effort before John Terry scored a target in each half as Chelsea revealed defenders were the best form of attack from the Cottagers. Your home area showed a lot of nice touches in the overall game but the quality originated from the Blues and they are taken by the three points over their west London rivals above Arsenal in to next. Bryan Ruiz could have opened the scoring inside three minutes when he nearly latched onto a Sascha Riether cross, while a shot was also fizzed by Giorgos Karagounis just over the bar in early stages. But just like Rafael Benitez's area appeared to be in passive mood, Luiz walked right out of the right back on the half-hour mark to develop an unreasonable strike that had Mark Schwarzer grasping at nothing. The target did little to alter the pattern of play with Fulham experiencing considerable control as Petr Cech saved effectively from Urby Emanuelson before Dimitar Berbatov drilled just wide of the article. But Chelsea were the more clinical side and Frank Lampard - repaired to the staff with Terry after both were left out of the FA Cup semifinal - soon bothered Schwarzer with a strong free-kick. From the resulting place, Juan Mata looped a cross in from the proper and Terry did well to pull away onto Philippe Senderos and rise above his opponent to head in at Schwarzer's near post. That saw Chelsea get in two-goals up at the interval and while Martin Jol's side tried to find a second-half result, with Mladen Petric spurning two possibilities, the next target killed the overall game down. With 20 minutes to perform, Fernando Torres flicked a large part on at the near post and Terry was there ahead of Riether to get his second goal of the game and push the ball over the line. Because they make an effort to secure a top-four position and build on this comfortable victory this time there was no reaction from Fulham and Benitez was even ready to withdraw some of his overworked people.
