Oklahoma City Thunder little forward Kevin Durant might have needed the game of his life to secure his fourth consecutive NBA scoring title on Wednesday, but he has as an alternative made a decision to concede the race to Ny Knicks star Carmelo Anthony. Durant would have required 70 points to surpass Melo, so his goal was probably futile anyway, but it certainly eliminates a number of the drama that supporters were longing for on the regular season's final night. With the Thunder already closed in since the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference, there is little possibility that head coach Scott Brooks might have played Durant higher than a short while had he chose to match up. Oklahoma City is favored to attain the NBA Finals in the West, while the Knicks can do the same in the East if they're able to upend the Heat.
