Ajax complex manager Marc Overmars is unconcerned by Manchester City's alleged fascination with head mentor Frank de Boer, reports De Telegraaf. The 42-year-old was recently related to the Etihad Stadium hot-seat, and although admitting he was flattered to be mentioned in the same breath as the ruling Premier League winners, remained completely dedicated to completing the plan at the Amsterdam Arena. With Ajax the surface of the Eredivisie - three things away from PSV Eindhoven - speculation surrounding the long-term future of De Boer is naturally undesirable. Overmars is confident that the Dutch story can remain in his homeland for the foreseeable future, though, and intimated that De Boer's consultant could be the foundation of rumours connecting him with Manchester City. "I am maybe not afraid at all. He told De Telegraaf perhaps if they [Manchester City] come for De Boer in two years,". "Everyone is aware of the condition, but I believe his agent is just hyping the matter." And, after confirming that the membership has recently opened negotiations to extend the agreements of assistant manager Dennis Bergkamp and academy instructor Wim Jonk, talks are expected by Overmars with De Boer to check out. "We are now working on extending the contracts of Wim Jonk and Dennis Bergkamp," he explained. "We want to finish that first before we sit down and talk with De Boer." Meanwhile, Roberto Mancini looks to be facing an uncertain future as a number of different names remain related to the Manchester City career, following the Italian's anticipated failure to preserve the domestic title, and team point reduction from the Champions League.
