Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal have been warned off a transfer for Hamburg star Heung-Min Son, with director of game Frank Arnesen also revealing that the club have not received an offer for the ball player. The 20-year-old South Korean international continues to earn rave reviews in the Bundesliga, scoring twice in his sideas 2-1 make an impression on Mainz at the week-end to take his recent league whole to 11 in 28 appearances. Itas kind thatas informed Premier League clubs, with The Independent reporting last week that Spurs chef Andre Villas-Boas led the race to sign the ball player before the others and Arsenal. But, Arnesen contends that an offer has not been forthcoming, and that Hamburg come in talks with the gamer over a brand new contract. "He still features a year to go on his contract and we've maybe not had any offers from other clubs," Arnsesen told NDR TV. "We have reached an excellent point with him and his commitment extension therefore I am positive that we can expand with him for the long term. We've to make sure that we extend his contract as quickly as possible so that he can be settled." And, in a warning to interested parties, Arnesen demands the membership will do everything they could to keep Son at the Imtek Arena. "Son, with his two decades, is one of the participants we'd really like to keep hold of," he added. "We are prepared to force ourselves to our pain hurdle for him." Whether the 56-year-old's responses will stop both Andre Villas-Boas or Arsene Wenger making a transfer for the player remains to be observed, but with both the Gunners and Spurs keen on providing the player to England, manager Thorsten Fink may have a battle on his fingers to encourage the player to stay at his current home.
