MLB's Top AL MVP Candidates Through 1st 30 Games

The 2nd Detroit Tiger with this record, pitcher Justin Verlander has also been shown to be an early MVP customer. He presently leads the AL in ERA (1.55), and he got a no-hitter into the seventh inning contrary to the Houston Astros, on May 5. Verlander has only won four of his eight begins, but a lot of that's related to bad function service. In his two losses on record, the Tigers didn't score both times to a run. Yet another important stat for Verlander is that through 46.1 innings pitched, he's only abandoned one home run. So he's not prone to give up a game-changer. With Verlander on the pile and Cabrera at the plate, it seems like the Tigers are one of many toughest competitors to beat.
